Hank's Pet Food Market was born from a desire to provide our community with better options for pet foods and supplies, as well as, support  for community efforts to help pets through rescue groups and organizations, low cost vaccine clinics, and spay & neuter services.

 

Lisa Sauer and Teresa DeGuelle are the owners of Hank's Pet Food Market, llc.  Established in March of 2011, Hank's serves the community of Loveland and smaller surrounding communities.  The store is named after our much loved cat Hank.  Hank was a barn cat that adopted us in Durango, Colorado.  When he came to us he was in need of veterinary care for a bad abscess on his chin.  We took him in for the abscess and he ended up losing all his teeth because of the infection.  He needed to have a family to take care of him so in to our home he came. 

 

We had Hank for 8 wonderful years.  He was top cat in the family and taught all his brothers and sisters how to hunt for mice and voles.  He developed a sarcoma on his hip and we sought out everything we could do to help him, including improving his diet from Science Diet to his new food Blue Buffalo.  Blue Buffalo was a company that produced excellent food and has created a support network for animals with cancer.  Hank lived almost two years past his diagnosis, but we were so sad when we lost him. 

 

We realized that there weren't many places in the area to get high quality natural pet food at a reasonable price and began dreaming of a pet food market where people could get good products, utilize a knowledgeable staff and get great customer service.  Thus a few years later, Hank's came to be.  Thank you all for your support of our dream and for supporting local!
